Facilities Information and Technology Services (FITS) was recently recognized by The Ohio Department of Administrative Services (ODAS) with the GIS Best Practices award for outstanding enterprise-wide GIS projects. Treavon Clark, Aaron Kidwell and Larisa Kruger were highlighted during the annual Ohio GIS conference for their work providing photographic, analytic and data management support to a variety of university partners through strategic coordination, development, maintenance and use of geospatial data and applications. Initiatives include campus map maintenance for the Columbus campus and regional campuses, dashboard creation for facilities projects, continued collaboration with the Ohio State app team to share facilities information, among others.
