Key Framework 3.0 Themes Emerge

The Framework 3.0 core team is comprised of 40 representatives from across Ohio State’s Columbus campus including Enterprise for Research Innovation and Knowledge (ERIK), Facilities Operations and Development, Office of Academic Affairs, Office of Business and Finance, Office of Student Life, Undergraduate Student Government, Wexner Medical Center, among others. Meeting monthly since Framework 3.0 planning began in June 2022, the core team provides guidance and feedback to the planning team in each project phase and serves as ambassadors of the plan by gathering feedback from and sharing progress updates with department and unit stakeholders. Having broad membership on the core team has helped ensure various priorities are considered, resulting in a plan that represents the campus community.

In July 2023, the core team reviewed the draft Framework plan based upon information that was gathered from the university-wide engagement process during the 2022-2023 academic year.  Key themes that have emerged through these findings include academic and research excellence, stewardship of facilities and the natural environment, mobility and connections, community, campus experience, and wellness.

The planning team will share the final Framework 3.0 plan with the Board of Trustees in the fall and a series of open houses will be planned for mid-September.
