In his role as university landscape architect, Aaron Rumbaugh creates high-quality spaces that the university community can interact and engage with. As an Ohio State alumnus and in alignment with Framework 3.0, the university’s planning framework, one of Rumbaugh’s current projects focuses on activating the Oval.
“We want the Oval to be populated and active,” said Rumbaugh. “We want to open that space and give people ways to interact with it.”
Maintaining the Oval’s adaptability is also a priority for the university landscape architect.
“One of the things that makes the Oval the Oval is the flexibility that students have there,” he said. “That’s something we don’t want to lose.”
